This is my Bible
This is my Bible, what does that mean?
I know I often read the Bible to get my reading done and not to let it touch me, it is a check off list. I know that 10 minutes spent truly allowing the Word into my heart is better than 30 minutes reading to just check off my reading list.
I often study a subject with the intent of throwing it at someone rather than studying a topic to allow it to change my heart. I do study to learn and grow and allow the Word to teach me. This gives me strength but there are times that I do not, I only read to vindicate myself against others.
Grace, the Bible is full of Grace. Sometimes I read something and realize I am so far from where I need to be and have so far to go and thank God for Grace and forgiveness. His understanding is infinite and mine is 5 minutes at a time I think.
Endurance! Lord grant me the endurance to live the life you want me to live, not the life I want to live. Allow me to draw close to you, to understand you more and to look at others as you look at them. Amen!
May what follows inspire you and challenge you. Read through it, the go back and look up the verses. Watch the video link if you can but most importantly allow the Word of God, THE BIBLE, to touch your life!
