Matt 28:19<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>What are some of the key verses, we have One Lord, One Faith, One Baptizm (Eph 4:5). \u00a0We have been buried with Christ in Baptism (Col 2:12,\u00a0Rom 6:3). \u00a0We are saved in baptism (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16), not that baptism saves us but that that is the time God has chosen to bestow salvation upon us. \u00a0We should baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)<\/p>\n<p>Is there any kind of an old Testament example of this, something we can relate to? \u00a0Some would say circumcision. \u00a0Which is the old testament size of faith.<\/p>\n<p>I would point to another story in 2 Kings 5 where Naaman has leprosy and is told by the prophet Elisha to go and wash in the Jordan.<\/p>\n<p>2 Kings 5:10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him [Naaman], saying, \u201cGo and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He is healed, was it washing in the Jordan that healed him, NO! \u00a0It was his obedience to the Lord, even if that was a reluctant obedience none the less. It was his washing, or dipping, into the Jordan Seven times.<\/p>\n<p>Today God commands us to Repent and be Baptized to be saved. \u00a0Baptism does not save us, it is the time God has chosen to bestow His Grace upon us. \u00a0Trust in Him and His Word to be saved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the Concordance in the back of my Bible Baptism coming to his b . .
