The scenery was spectacular.\u00a0 God\u2019s hand is in every aspect of the nature around us.<\/p>\n
Birds were not the only creatures I spied.\u00a0 Near the end of my drive, I rounded a curve and saw a couple dozen deer lounging in the grass and behind some boulders, all relatively close to the road.\u00a0 What was so unique in that view was that EVERY deer had its head up, and faced the same direction.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0They appeared to be at ease and yet completely alert and aware of their surrounding at the same time.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n That scene immediately\u00a0brought to mind the parable of the 10 virgins.\u00a0\u00a0 All of the deer were like the virgins who had enough oil and were ready to meet the bridegroom.\u00a0 The deer may have been at rest, but any danger arose, they were ready to run.\u00a0 No of them would be left behind.\u00a0 These deer were certainly not like the five who didn\u2019t have enough oil.<\/p>\n Matthew 25:1-13<\/p>\n Then the kingdom of heaven will be like 10 virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom.\u00a02\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>Five of them were foolish and five were sensible.\u00a03\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>When the foolish took their lamps, they didn\u2019t take olive oil with them.\u00a04\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>But the sensible ones took oil in their flasks with their lamps.\u00a05\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>Since the groom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>\u201cIn the middle of the night there was a shout: \u2018Here\u2019s the groom! Come out to meet him.\u2019 7\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>\u201cThen all those virgins got up and trimmed their lamps.\u00a08\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>But the foolish ones said to the sensible ones, \u2018Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.\u2019 9\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>\u201cThe sensible ones answered, \u2018No, there won\u2019t be enough for us and for you. Go instead to those who sell, and buy oil for yourselves.\u2019 10\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>\u201cWhen they had gone to buy some, the groom arrived.
