Church, what should it look like?\u00a0 Lets take a look at the start of the church.<\/p>\n
Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles\u2019 doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.<\/p>\n
From this verse 4 things stand out.<\/p>\n
“Continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine”<\/p>\n
They studied the teachings of the Apostles, in other words they studied God’s Word.<\/p>\n
“Fellowship”<\/p>\n
Fellowship, understanding each other and needs.\u00a0 Spending time with fellow believers is\u00a0 important.\u00a0 We are not perfect (thus the reason for Christ) but we do need to fellowship together.<\/p>\n
“Breaking of Bread”<\/p>\n
Communion!\u00a0 When the church gathered in the New Testament times the wold partake in communion.\u00a0 This too should be an important part of our fellowship today.<\/p>\n
“Prayers”<\/p>\n
Praying for fellow believers.\u00a0 Seeking God’s guidance.\u00a0 See John 17:1-16 as an example of prayer.<\/p>\n
These are important things our church should be doing today, is your church doing this every Sunday?<\/p>\n
